Havasupai 2008

At the bottom of the page there is a slide show about our recent backpacking trip to Havasupai. We went in April with Charlie's sister and her husband and we had an absolute blast! We hiked into the canyon and stayed two nights, which is a perfect amount of time to see all of the beauty the canyon has to offer. We would recommend that all of you take some time to enjoy this beautiful place here in the great state of Arizona! The pictures on the slide show are kind of small so if you want to see a larger version of the pictures, just click on the slide show. Enjoy!

Charlie's school organized a dodge ball tournament where he and other people from his class played in. They lost miserably but they at least had a good time!

Camelback Mountain

Camelback mountain is one of the most popular city hikes here in the valley. It is right in Scottsdale and once you reach the top, you can see an awesome view of the entire valley. The hike is really fun!

Fun Places in AZ

We have had the chance to discover many different places
here in Arizona. The picture on the right is in front of a
national park called Kartchner Caverns which are two caves that were just made known to the public about a
decade ago. The caves are really well preserved and worth the trip to come and see! The picture below is of Mel in Tombstone. Everyone should see Tombstone at least once because things have not changed much since the 1800s. It is very much an outlaw town!

Easter 2008

This Easter we had the opportunity to go see the Easter pageant the church does every year. It was awesome! Mel has never been to one of the church's pageants before so it was a neat experience for her. It is worth the trip to come see because it is a grand production. Plus where else in the world could you sit outside at night, in the middle of March, in 80 degree weather?!?!

Superstition Mountains

This is the mountain range near our home and I have to say I was really surprised how colorful and green the desert could be. This picture does not do what we see justice because there are seas of wildflowers in a variety of colors that just blanket the desert floor. I am not a desert person, but if I have to live in a desert, I am glad I am in Arizona!

HELLO!!

We have finally joined the blogging world! Since we live away from all of our family, Charlie and I thought this page would be a nice way to keep in touch with everyone and provide updates about what is going on in our lives in sunny Arizona. We love and miss you all and we hope you enjoy our page!
